Terms

Last updated 9 August 2026

Where things stand. FileFroggy is not yet available to buy or download. Sections 1–6 govern your use of this website today. Sections 7–9 set out the licence terms intended to apply to the application when it is released, published in advance so they can be read before anyone is asked to pay anything.

1. Using this website

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You may read, link to and share this site freely. You may not attempt to disrupt it, misuse it, or use it in violation of applicable law.

2. Ownership of the site and its content

The FileFroggy name, the design and text of this website, and its screenshots, interface renderings and video content are owned by the project maintainer and protected by copyright, except where stated otherwise. You may quote reasonable extracts with attribution and a link. You may not republish the site wholesale or present it as your own.

3. Source code

The project's source code is published for inspection at github.com/DomTheDeveloper/RecentLedger. Publishing source for reading is not the same as granting a licence to use, copy, modify or redistribute it. Any rights in that code are governed by the licence file in the repository, if one is present; where no licence is stated, all rights are reserved and no permission beyond reading is granted.

4. Accuracy and forward-looking statements

We try hard to describe this product accurately, including what it cannot do. Even so, parts of this site describe software that is still in development.

5. Third-party links

This site links to external services, principally GitHub. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Following such a link is at your own discretion and subject to that service's terms.

6. Website disclaimer and liability

This website is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of this website.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions above apply only so far as that jurisdiction permits, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

7. Planned application licence

These terms are intended to apply to the FileFroggy application on release. They are published early so they can be read in advance, and the version in force at the time of purchase will be the one that applies.

Grant

A purchase is intended to grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the application on Macs that you own or control, for personal or business use, for the licensed number of seats.

Restrictions

Acceptable use

FileFroggy produces a detailed record of what someone did on a computer. It is built for people to keep track of their own work.

Installing it to monitor another person covertly — a family member, a partner, an employee without lawful basis and notice — is outside this licence and is unlawful in many places. Do not do it.

Updates and refunds

Updates within the same major version are intended to be included at no additional charge. Upgrades to a future major version may be chargeable. Where a refund policy applies at release it will be published on the purchase page, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected either way.

8. Application warranty and liability

The application will be provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. In particular, and stated plainly rather than buried:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the application is limited to the amount you actually paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue or business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

9. General

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms; the current version is always the one published here, with its date at the top and its full revision history public in the repository.

Questions about these terms can be raised at the project issue tracker.
